STEP 1: PREP YOUR FACE
Wash your face and apply moisturizer to prevent makeup from clinging to dry patches. Even out your complexion using foundation and/or concealer that matches your skin tone and undertone, covering any blemishes, redness or imperfections.
STEP 2: CONTOUR
The easiest way to contour is using a darker shade to create a shadow below your cheekbones, along the jawline and temples. Depending on your face shape and features, you can also contour the sides of the nose, in a “3” shape along the hairline or an inverted triangle on the cheeks.
STEP 3: HIGHLIGHT
Apply a lighter shade to the high points of your face where the light naturally hits — forehead, nose tip, tops of the cheekbones, cupid's bow, and around the eyes and brows using your favorite highlighter or concealer.
STEP 4: ADD COLOR
Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks. This step is optional for contouring, but helps give your look a more natural finish.
STEP 5: BLEND
Because not all the shades used match your exact skin tone, blending is key. Use a big soft brush to blend shadows and highlights until there are no harsh lines.
STEP 6: SET
For a flawless finish, apply setting powder or a setting spray.
